The app will not write your original.

Does it write back to my drive?
No. Export is copy-only on purpose. Restore-in-place and writing the exhibit are refused.
When should I use the lab instead?
If the media is clicking, not detecting, or too unstable for a home Mac, stop and use the Sydney lab. Free assessment either way.
Is this EnCase or FTK?
No. It is an honest Mac recovery workstation for own-media work, not a court toolkit.
