Data recovery & digital forensics · Sydney

Deleted isn’t gone.
Dead isn’t lost.

When a drive fails or files vanish, the data itself is rarely destroyed — the way to reach it is. We image failing drives, phones and CCTV recorders sector by sector, rebuild what the filesystem lost, and hand back your files with a written account of what was done.

What we recover from

If it stores data, it can usually be read at a level below the software that gave up on it.

  • Hard drives

    Internal and external, any interface

  • SSDs & NVMe

Including drives the BIOS no longer sees

  • Phones & tablets

Android at forensic depth; iOS from backups and working devices

  • SD & memory cards

    Cameras, dashcams, drones, phones

  • RAID, NAS & servers

Arrays rebuilt from the members, not from the controller

  • CCTV & DVR recorders

Proprietary video the vendor's own software won't export

Read-only. Always.

Your device is imaged sector by sector on hardware built to cope with failing media, and every recovery attempt happens on that copy — never on your original. Nothing we do writes to your drive. If a job needs cleanroom mechanical work, we tell you at diagnosis and refer it on. We don’t experiment on the only copy you have.

Past where the software stops.

Consumer tools read the filesystem and give up. We rebuild it: NTFS and ext4 journals, APFS, FAT and exFAT, RAID and NAS reassembly, and the proprietary video inside Hikvision, Dahua and other CCTV recorders that were never designed to give footage back. “The scan found nothing” is usually where our work begins.

Recovered, and provable.

When the files are evidence — an insurance claim, a dispute, a police matter — getting them back isn’t enough on its own. We keep chain of custody from the moment your device arrives, document every step, and report what was recovered, where on the media it came from, and whether timestamps have been altered.

How a recovery works

  1. 01

    Triage

You tell us what happened. We tell you what's likely, free, before anything is touched.

  2. 02

    Image

The device is copied sector by sector on hardware built for failing media. Read-only, always.

  3. 03

    Recover

All work happens on that copy. Filesystems rebuilt, deleted entries carved, video containers parsed.

  4. 04

    Verify

You get a list of what came back before you pay a cent.

  5. 05

    Return

Files delivered on new media, with a written account of what was done.

What we don’t do

We don’t run a cleanroom. If your drive is clicking, has stopped spinning, or has suffered a head crash, it needs mechanical work in a controlled environment — and the honest answer is that we refer those cases rather than open the drive on a bench and make them worse. You’ll be told that at the free assessment, before you’ve spent anything.

We also don’t publish success percentages. A number measured on other people’s drives tells you nothing about yours. We’ll look at yours and tell you what’s actually recoverable.

Tell us what happened.

The assessment is free, the quote is fixed before any recovery work starts, and if we recover nothing you pay nothing.
